Blog Banners for the Last Year

Today I thought I'd share the different blog headers I've created the last year.  Sorry they aren't in Chronological order because I had to find them in different folders.  I hope you enjoy looking at them again. :)  When I look at them it reminds me how much I've learned how to do in Picnik and other graphic programs.

April Collage for Mosaic Monday

The other day I created a new Header for my Blog. I used the program at Picnik to create the collage.

Here are the images I used and was considering.  They are all so beautiful!

This is from an old Alice in Wonderland book.

I got the images from The Graphic Fairy, Magic Moonlight and Photobucket. I love to work with Vintage Images and the first two places has tons of them. The best part is that they are free! I have a list of other free images on my blog roll page (toward the bottom).  Please feel free to "steal" them from me.

New Header for Blog

Today I spent hours in picnik.com to create a new header for my blog.  First I put borders around each picture and it just didn't look right.

Then I went back and edited each image with out a border, except the one that creates the name for my blog.    I cropped each image to create a square that is about 200 x 200.  The total header is 925 x 200.

I layered one images on top of a clover background.

Isn't this pretty?

When I was all done I used the collage program, at picnik.com with 5 blocks by one.

I got the images from photobucket.com and Karen at graphicfairy.com

Once I was done with my header I uploaded it into the header file on the design page of my blog at blogger.com.

How do you like my new header?

New Header for the Month of November

I just created a new Header for the month of November. Ever since I found out about the program at Picnik, I've been having a blast creating collages, mosaics and headers. I found the pumpkin image from Karen, the Graphic Fairy and the other images on Photobucket. I love to find fun images, don't you?  Another creative source is Blingee.  It's so fun to Blingee a photo.  Here is an example of what you can do at Blingee.

This was my store's image for October.

Normally you would have Blingee written in the lower right corner, but I've paid a small amount of money to have the logo removed.

Here is November's Blingee:

and here is November's Header:

I learned how to combine 2 pictures (see 1st box) and to put the blog name in the header.  I'm constantly learning something new. :)

First I cropped this photo.  Then I added the Harvest Woman that I got from Karen at Graphic Fairy.

Then using the program at picnik.com I layered the two images.

I also got the butterfly, in the last box from Karen @ Vintage Fairy too.

I've already created my Header for December because that is such a busy time for everyone.  I play Mrs. Claus all month selling Barbies on e-Bay so that makes me extra busy, but not as busy as moms who work full time and raise their kids.

Yeah, I finally have a Header

Kurt, my daughter's dad, is a graphic designer.  When I was looking at more instructions on how to do a header it said something about working on the pictures in photoshop.  I thought, wait a minute, Kurt was working with photoshop when most of the world didn't even know of it's existence.  So I sent him pictures and showed him examples of headers I liked.  Wala!!  I have one!!

I'm pleased as punch!

The picture of my daughter, in the header, is four years old but I just love that photo.  She dressed her and Pepsi up and called me to take a photo. It was her 8th Birthday and I had a camera waiting.  Now a days she takes photos of herself which I appreciate cause she catches moments when she's playing with her makeup or just goofing off.

She loves to wear wiskers and say meow to everyone. lol

Natalie normally doesn't wear this much makeup.  She was playing around with it and having fun.  The lucky girl doesn't need even mascara because her eyelashes are long and naturally dark.

I love my daughter so much and I'm very proud of her.  I know that next school year will be a better year for her.
