Happy St. Patrick's Day |
This year, for St. Patrick's Day we had the usual Corn Beef and Cabbage but we cooked it in the Crock pot. I need to get a larger Crock pot or at least another one because we couldn't fit the cabbage and it just wasn't the same cooking it on the side. Anyways, we ate it on Sunday evening since my husband was busy Monday night. My daughter and I had Corn Beef Sandwiches with Deli Mustard on Monday instead. I guess we should have had Shake and Bake but we had enough Shaking in the AM. It was only a 4.4 or 4.7 earthquake but Natalie had never felt one that strong before. The '94 Northridge Earthquake happened almost 4 years before she was born. I felt bad for the Pepsi and Shasta. They kept on looking at me with big eyes and it was saying...Mom can you explain that one to us? I get them extra hugs and pets.
I didn't get around to Decorating for Valentines, after Chinese New Years, so I was excited to decorate for St. Patrick's. I decorated my front table and created an Ornament to hang with my glittery shamrock garland that I bought from the Dollar Tree many years ago.
On the table I put my Shamrock table cloth and decorated with a few different scenes. All that was missing was some good Soda Bread that I didn't get this year. I wonder if they will have any left at the store tomorrow.
I created this set up (the picture late went on the wall). I remembered that I had some beautiful demitasse cups, that I inherited from my Farmor (my Dad's Mom). These are definitely vintage since it says Eversberg, West Germany on the bottom of the cup. I have some delicate blue and white demitasse cups that I got from my Mormor (Mom's Mom) that I need to post about.
According to Wikipedia- A demitasse is a small cup used to serve Turkish coffee or espresso. In Sweden they have special demitasse cups to serve with dessert. My mom has gorgeous dessert plates to go with hers. My mom found the teapot at a garage sale.

Your decorations are wonderful. I especially love that teapot and tea set. I never thought of making corn beef and cabbage in a crock pot. But that is a wonderful idea.
Your Mosaic is wonderful!
Happy St. Patrick's Day.

We had a small earthquake here in SC a few weeks ago, very small and no damage, but we're not used to that around here, so it was pretty surprising! I love your decor and your little cups and the teapot are really lovely. Thank you so much for joining the History & Home link party this week, I hope you'll join again on Tuesday! -Dawn @ We Call It Junkin.com
Your St Pat's decor is charming. I love the teapot, it looks so pretty with the sweet little tea cups with the pretty flowers on them. I am visiting from Dawn's party.
What pretty St. Pat decor. so glad you came for Cottage Style Entertaining.
Love your festive St. Patty;s décor! I was going to try the corned beef and cabbage in the crockpot this year, but we all were sick and it didn't happen. Threw my corned beef in the freezer. Will cook it later, when I'm feeling a little Irish. lol! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
