Flagstaff and on the Road to Sedona

Friday, July 13, 2013

Flagstaff is a College town that has a quaint old part and spreads into the lower hills of the San Francisco Mountains.  We drove around and then took a walk through the old part.  We found a fun Retro-Vintage store and bought Ben a shirt for his birthday, that we celebrated the next Tuesday.  He was thrilled!  Both Ben and Natalie love retro clothes and Natalie has Betty Page bangs.  We stopped in the Betty Paige store in Las Vegas too.  At one of the Art Galleries, we met a friendly dog named Oliver, who had a Brillo coat.  Natalie had never seen fur like that so we had to take his picture.

In the late afternoon we headed for Sedona.  We drove HWY 89A, through Oak Creek Canyon which is considered one of the most beautiful drives in the US.
