I'm back from Obsurity

Sometimes we have times in our life that we have to put everything on hold because of family issues, health or other things.  Well the last few months I forced myself to do that.  I wore myself out trying to be everything even though I have fibromyalgia and was recovering from surgery.  I even went to a blog social just 2 days after surgery.  At the time I was proud of myself but when the pain killers wore off (I weaned myself before I had to so I wasn't addicted) I paid the price and was exhusted and just didn't feel good.  Shortly after my surgery I started a part time job.  Today was the first day calling in sick.  Since I work less than 15 hours a week you would think I could do my job, well today I just couldn't go.  I hurt all over and my daughter was sick and between me taking her to the Drs yesterday and today getting cold meds, I was shaky feverish and in pain.  I took a bath, drank tons of liquids and ate lunch (not neccesarily in that order.

I've been trying to get my life in order and I've felt more motivated since my husband and I reconnected this past November.  Kurt, my husband, and Natalie, my 14 yr old daughter, have been trying to help me.  The reality is that I have to think what works for me.  When you are in pain you can't think well and then you can't get much done cause of the pain.  When all of this happens it slows down your momentum.  I have a game plan but it's taking me forever.

I went to check my blog the other day and laughed because it was dated December 12th.  when I say I made myself not blog I went cold turkey.  If you have followed my blog you know that I like to at least change my background and header for the seasons and holidays.  Valentines is next week!

My mom and her husband are driving down from an hour north to let Kurt and I go out.  He has special plans for me.  All I know is that it's with another couple (that I don't know) and that it's from 6:30-9pm and I'm suppose to dress  dressy casual (meaning no evening gown) and there will be food.  So far, I'm guessing a musical theater.  I'll let you know after tomorrow.  We've only gone out a few times since we reunited, so I'm excited!

Since I haven't been on, I hope that someone will read this.  Till the next time. Katharine
