Sharing my thoughts during these turbulent times.

Sorry for  not posting the last few weeks.  I've been recouperating from my Easter gathering.  I was going to recreate my Easter table after Easter, to showcase it, but I was too tired.  This fibromyalgia has been kicking my butt lately and I'm not happy.  I'm being told that if I cut out sugar I'll feel better.  I don't know about you but this is really hard for me.  I thought I'd try cutting back and I have but it's still hard.

Easter day and for weeks my legs had the worst cramps and some days I could barely walk.  What was a miracle was that I was able to drive which is what I need to do for my part time job.  The first day back I was late to pick up my "ward" from Middle School.  He was mad but I explained that I was a gimp for the day.  Sometimes you can tell I have a problem but wouldn't you know that when we got to his house I didn't walk funny?  So he pointed that out to me.  I showed him what I walked like earlier.  Let's just say that Quasimoto (the Hunchback of Notre Dame) looked more graceful than I did.

On top of all of this there have been people dying in our friend's lives.  One of them was a 13 year old boy who died while racing a motorbike.  Ironically his sponsors had him wearing extra safety gear.  His accident was so bad that his helmet actually cracked.  He was in a coma and after a few days the tests said that he was brain dead.  His sister is a friend of my daughter's and when she heard she rushed to Children's Hospital in Hollywood.  Kurt, my husband, took her over there.  It freaked Natalie out to see this boy, that we've known since he was 3, lying there all puffed up.  The family had posted on his fan page on facebook that they were taking him off the machine that day and they were welcoming all friends to come and visit.  My daughter knew that no one was there for her friend, who's 15, and wanted to be their for her.  They have known each other since Kindergarten.

I don't want to talk about all the deaths and almost deaths that have happened recently...  Then to hear what happened in Boston just sickens me.  I avoid the news because I just can't bear what happens.  It isn't that I don't care it is because I care too much.

I don't usually like to be a downer in my blog, but sometimes things happen and it's hard to be enthusiastic about stuff.  I think all of us are in mourning and most of us just cope and smiles.  I'm in the group that gets quiet and thoughtful, meaning I deeply think and feel.

I have a few posts that I'm in the middle of creating and I will return to more positive posts ASAP.

I like to think that this Easter Angel is here to heal our wounds.

I'm very happy to read this. This is the type of manual that needs to be given and not the random misinformation that's at
the other blogs. Appreciate your sharing this best doc.
