Java, from Never Growing Older wrote,"Blogging is a funny thing...we tell our most intimate thoughts for all to read and yet most of the time I find myself sitting and wondering, "who is this person!?" I know them...but yet I don't know them! I want to know who the person is behind all those words so I thought of a great way for all of us to "meet" each other!"

Every Sunday Java will post five get to know you questions that you can copy and paste into your own Monday post and we can all learn a little more about each and every one of us!!

Questions:

1. What is your favorite all time movie?

2. How often do you go over the speed limit?

3. What really gives you the creeps?

4. What is your favorite snack?

5. Would you rather be a dog named Killer or a cat named Fluffy?

My Answers:

1. What is your favorite all time movie?

My favorite movie has to be Sound of Music.  Everything about this movie is wonder, the music, the scenery, the love story, the drama of the Nazi's, and the ending.  I could watch the movie a millon times.  Since it plays on the TV every year I have seen it ..well not  quite a million, but many times.  I can't remember if it's Thanksgiving or Easter that it plays.  It is just something that is on TV after dinner and we can just sit and relax.  Ok that was in the olden days before Videos, Dvds and Computers.

I'm always telling my daughter how special it is that she can watch a movie when ever she wants.  To tell the thruth it takes the specialness away.  At least she never has to be like my sister, brother and I, on a side road with my dad and mom cursing (under their breath of course) the car that broke down.  We were on the way to good friends and it was a long drive.  We planned on watching Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer.  When my daughter was a few years old I wrapped that movie for a Gift Exchange with Santa at a Mommy & Me holiday party.  She was too afraid of Santa but was happy with the movie.

2. How often do you go over the speed limit?

Probably all the time except in a school section.  When I'm driving where there are children I always slow down, but if I'm on the main road if I don't drive fast enough I'll get run over.  Everyone drives too fast!!

3. What really gives you the creeps?

Dead fish with their head and tail on a plate.  When I was young I kept on waking my sister up because there was a fish in my bed.  I'd shake her and say, "Anne, there is a fish in my bed." over and over.  I would have been 9 and she was 12.  She finally said go make a tuna sandwich. lol  At one point the two of walked into my parent's room to complain.  We were on the left side by my mom and the Sylmar Earthquake hit.  That was the biggest earthquake that we felt when I was a child.  I remember trying to hold on to my mom's bed and being shook all around.  The magniture of that earthquake was 6.6 which is close to the size of the Northridge Earthquake which was 6.7. We lived about 35 miles from the epicenter but since our house was on a fault line we felt all earthquakes extra strong.  After the Sylmar Earthquake there were stricter building codes on buildings in Los Angeles, CA.  The main thing that is bad about earthquakes is that there is no warning.  We'll joke about earthquake weather or say watch the pets behavior, but we never know.  I don't know if it's cause of the earthquakes or the fish eyes that get me, but if I'm at a restaurant and they give me the head, I politely ask the waitress to take that part away.  This is probably why I rarely order fish.  At home I eat salmon filets and tuna sandwiches.

4. What is your favorite snack?

Tostitos Brand Tortilla Chips, 100% White Corn Scoops, Family Size (Pack of 3)

I found out that Msg is bad for people with fibromyalgia, well everyone, and that the dip has msg.  I guess I better switch to grapes which is my favorite (good for you) snack.

5. Would you rather be a dog named Killer or a cat named Fluffy?  Since I loveeeeee cats, I'd have to say cats.  I like dogs but they are more work.  My cats are much easier to take care of.  I wouldn't mind the work dogs take but with my health I can't always do what a dog needs.  Of course I think if I had a dog dragging me I'd walk more.  Maybe one day I can have a dog (there are other reasons why I can't).
